A Personal Payments Service via Online Bill Pay

How do I know when I can use ZashPay?
ZashPay will be available to First Southern Bank Online Bill Pay Subscribers.  When you log into your Online Banking account and click on the "Bill Pay" button you will see a new button called, "Pay People” once the service is available. Scheduled live date is 9/30/2010.

What is ZashPay?
ZashPay is a new personal payments service that enables you to send and receive money to those you know, or owe, in as little as one business day– securely and electronically – either where you bank online, or through ZashPay.com. All you need is their email address or mobile phone number!

When you use ZashPay to send money to someone you eliminate the need to share private account information socially, as well as the hassle of making an ATM run or writing and mailing a check. And because you’re paying directly from your bank account to theirs, it takes as little as one business day for users of ZashPay to receive their money. It’s that easy!

When I send money to someone who has never used the service before, how many days do they have to claim that money?
Someone who has never registered for ZashPay before has 12 calendar days to register and claim the money. The money does not leave the sender’s account until it is claimed, so if the money goes unclaimed, the sender will receive an alert letting them know that the payment has expired.

Does the sender or receiver pay a fee when they use ZashPay personal payments?
If you send money to someone through First Southern Bank Online Banking/Online Bill Pay system, you as the sender will incur a 50-cent fee. The receiver does not pay a fee.

What information do I need to know about the person I wish to send money to?
All you need is that person's name, and either their email address or mobile phone number.

Is the ZashPay service secure?
The security of your money and your data is the top priority. ZashPay personal payments are processed leveraging industry-leading regulatory and security standards to protect your information and your money against compromise. We monitor all of our payment systems around the clock, and proactively identify potentially fraudulent payments and suspicious activity to protect you and your money.

Is the ZashPay service available outside the U.S.?
The ZashPay personal payments service is only available for use between banking accounts that are located in the United States.

Recipient will need to enroll with ZashPay the first time they use this service.  Text message rates may apply from the wireless provider.  Valid in U.S. only.

You must enroll in Bill Pay to use the ZashPay service.  Bill Pay is free for all First Southern Bank customers.
