Getting Started with Mobile Banking
It’s easy:
- Log into your First Southern Bank online banking account
- Click the "Options" menu
- On the "Options" page, go to the "Mobile Banking" section and follow the simple instructions there.
Text Banking Commands
The following is short codes in text messaging service to view account balances, view transaction history and locate ATM and branch locations using key words.
- View Account Balances – Send B, BAL, BALANCE or BALANCES to the short code after activating your mobile phone
- View Transaction History – Send STMT, TRAN or HIST plus the nickname for the account to the short code received after activating your mobile phone
- Locate ATM Locations - Send ATM plus the ZIP code, city or state for the ATM to the short code received after activating your mobile phone
- Locate Branch Locations – Send BRANCH plus ZIP code, city or state for the branch to the short code received after activating your mobile phone
- Locate ATM and Branch Locations – Send BOTH plus the ZIP code, city or state for the branch to the short code received after activating your mobile phone
Mobile Deposit
This features allows you to make a check deposit by taking a picture of the front and back of an endorsed check with your phone — then submitting that image for deposit to your account via mobile banking.

Mobile Deposit Tips
- Before logging into the First Southern Bank Mobile Deposit app, close all other apps running in the background on your mobile phone.
- Sign/Endorse the back of your check with the appropriate signature(s), and the words “For Mobile Deposit Only to First Southern Bank”, above or below your name on the back of the check, and select the check box for Mobile/Remote Deposit, if applicable.
- When prompted for the check amount, carefully enter the check amount to ensure it matches the amount written on your check. (Deposit Limit Per Item - $2,000.00/per day, Daily Limit - $5,000.00 per day).
- Flatten folded or crumpled checks before taking your photos.
- Place the check on a dark background in a well-lit area.
- Keep your phone flat above the check when taking your photos.
- Keep the check within the viewfinder on the camera screen.
- Try not to get too much of the areas surrounding the check.
- Make sure that the entire check image is visible, in focus with all four corners of the check captured, and the MICR line (numbers on the bottom of your check) are readable before submitting your deposit.
Important: When you endorse your check for mobile deposit, please also write “For Mobile Deposit Only to First Southern Bank”.

Enroll Now
- Log into First Southern Bank’s Digital Banking.
- Select the Menu Tile, then select documents.
- Under Select Account you can enroll all accounts at once or individually by either clicking select all or by selecting the individual account, then click the accept button, then apply.
- View the Terms and Conditions. Scroll to the bottom of the Terms and then Select View Test Document to ensure you have the capability of viewing the document.
- Select all and click Accept Terms. If you don't want statments and notices, you can simply change the selection by clicking the green box next to the account and click the desired selection (Statements, Notices, or Statements and Notices), then click accept Terms to finalize the enrollment.
And you're all set!

Set up your Alerts
- Log into Digital Banking. Select Alerts.
- Click each Category in Alert Options to view the list of available alerts.
- Select the Alerts you want to receive for each account. Then check how you would like to receive them, and Save.
You will now receive a message the moment any of your alerts trigger — it's that simple!
